Kindergarten
Welcome to Kindergarten!
I am thrilled and blessed to be teaching kindergarten here at OCS! I have over 25 years of experience teaching children, including nearly ten years with kindergarten. I received my elementary teaching credential from San Francisco State in 1987. In addition to my experience as an elementary school teacher, I have served as a Christian preschool director /teacher and children’s ministries director. Kindergarten is my absolute passion! My goal above all is to guide, encourage and nurture my students in this crucial first year of elementary school as they learn about their awesome God and His Son Jesus, the world He created and their unique place in it.

Curriculum:
Bible: Biblical Choices—The God of Creation
Reading and Writing: Spell to Write and Read, BJU Write Now
Math: BJU—Colors, shapes, patterns, identifying and writing numbers, counting, basic addition and subtraction, measurement, fractions, calendar
Science: A variety of seasonal topics are covered including apples, pumpkins, penguins, the four seasons, and snowmen.
Social Studies: Holidays, Community Helpers, Leprechauns and Ireland, the Presidents, and Pilgrims and Indians.
