Field Trips
The 5th & 6th graders are looking forward to field trips to the Shasta Caverns and in the Spring we will take an overnight trip to Santa Cruz where we will take a steam train ride, participate in a Civil War Day, tide pool, and stay overnight in a light house. Visit a Lama/ Alpaca Farm
Class Pets
Our class pets have all grown. “Tico” the Red Tailed Boa has outgrown her shed box and I had to get her a bigger one. “Skittles” the turtle is grown and always hungry! Eve the naked rat is not so naked
Parents can access their child’s grades by providing Mrs. Hammonds with an email address. teacherease.com is a wonderful online tool where teachers enter the week’s grades and the program averages the grades and highlights missing work. Parents can only access their own student’s current grades with a access code that is emailed to them via the teacher. Once established, parents can check on their child’s progress as often as desired. If a parent does not
have email access, Mrs. Hammonds will gladly print off a copy once a week for that family.
