    The Kindergarten program at Oroville Christian School is one that focuses on the spiritual, academic and social growth of each child.  It is an all day class that includes lessons in Bible, Language Arts, Math, PE, Science, History, Art and Music and Dance.  We are beginning a new language program this year called “Writing Road to Reading.”  It is a phonics based program that is interactive and gets each child excited about reading.
     Several units of study are explored throughout the year including: apples, pumpkins, Gingerbread Men, Seasons, Leprechauns, community helpers, plants/flowers (we even have our own garden) and farm animals.  Other fun activities that happen include weekly trips to the library, bi-weekly meets with our 3rd and 4th grade reading buddies, a trip to the Pumpkin Patch, a Fall Festival where the students get to dress up and participation in the school’s Christmas program as well as several Chapel services.
     Kindergarten is a fun and exciting place to be at OCS!  We would love for you to come by our classroom for a visit.
