PTPF is equivalent to PTA in the public school system only we promote more than just social and academic welfare. PTPF = Parent/Teacher Prayer Fellowship.
It is our objective to:
1) Promote the spiritual, physical and academic welfare of the students in their home, school, church and community
2) Develop a closer relationship between the home and the school so that teachers and parents may cooperate effectively in the Christian training of the children
3) Provide inspirational, educational and financial support for the administration, teachers, staff, and parents.
PTPF members consist of all parents/guardians who have children attending OCS. Teachers of OCS are automatically considered members. Each member family is entitled to one vote at any regular meeting. Regular meetings will be held three times a year or more as needed. Simple majority shall determine membership vote on board decisions. A PTPF associate member is any person who does not have a child attending OCS and is interested in the objectives and purpose of PTPF. They shall not be able to hold office or vote but may volunteer their time and service to PTPF.
By everyone volunteering to serve in some area, we will be able to afford some of the things the public school system takes for granted. PTPF cannot function without parents!
We hope that this helps explain what PTPF is all about and how important it is to you and your child and OCS. If we can be of any help please feel free to call or email us.
